Road Sobriety Checkpoints From Nov 22 – 25
According to today’s official notices, the Bermuda Police Service will be conducting road sobriety checkpoints from Thursday, 22 November to Sunday, 25 November; with the checkpoints set to take place in Hamilton Parish, Devonshire, Pembroke, Paget and Southampton.
Update Nov 16, 3.00pm: A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service would like to advise the public that the next series of road sobriety checkpoints [as specified in the Official Gazette Notice Thursday, November 15th] will be conducted starting Thursday, November 22nd.
“The checkpoints will be in effect in Hamilton parish, Devonshire, Pembroke, Paget and Southampton on Thursday, November 22nd, Friday, November 23rd, Saturday, November 24th and Sunday, November 25th.”

let me see if I got this correct. there is a national football game on tonight and no sobriety check points…last week wash the rugby and we had 4 nights of it. …..hmmmmmm
All this exercise is doing is telling people that if they want to drink and drive, do not travel in the listed areas.
How stupid is this.
Goes to show you how backward this island is sometimes.
We are the ones who vote these people into power who approved this ‘stupid’ law… at some point hopefully, our Bermudian voters will connect the dots and get away from our divisive racial politics and vote for candidate capability and not just Party Politics. We can only hope!
